DXXIII. MOZART, Wolfgang Amadeus (1756-1791)
Leopold helped develop his young boy's compositional abilities the way all composers learn -- by providing him with examples of older music and helping him to develop his imagination to make something of his own!
First movement
Based on Leontzi Hanauer's harpsichord sonata Op. 2, No. 1
By comparing the two works, we can see exactly what Mozart wrote and what he didn't. Mostly, he seems to have composed the orchestral parts which precede the entrance of the piano. He also wrote his own cadenzas.
