Antoine Albanèse (1729-1800) wrote the melody Mozart uses, but he got the title wrong ("Alas, I have lost my lover"). The actual title was "Au bord d'une fontaine" ("By the edge of a fountain").
The Barenboims acquit themselves nicely here.
