Sonata #5 in F Minor for Violin and Harpsichord, BWV 1018 (1720-23)
1. (Largo)
2. Allegro
3. Adagio
4. Vivace
Shunske Sato, violin
Diego Ares, harpsichord
(18:40)

Second movement

Third movement

With a complete lack of normal melody, the violin plays in double-stops against a steadily-moving flow of 32nd-notes. The C Minor tonic key moves craftily to other key centers, including E-Flat Major and G Minor.

Fourth movement
