Second movement

A lovely, delicate slow movement. Haydn keeps the pace moving, with the addition of 32nd-notes:



































And this innovative use of col legno in the last five bars is simply magical!



































Third movement

A typical minuet, but with an usual trio: the second violin tunes down the G string a whole tone to F!































Fourth movement



Haydn breaks up the fast tempo with a switch to a calm 3/8 before returning to the original pace:
